The cooking hour- chapter 19
Missing midgets and calamitous cooking

The group froze as they heard a scream echo across the stage.
'What was-?'
'Who was that?'
They looked around trying to figure out who screamed. 'I think it was the alchemist.' Zero said 'unless, of course, he's too small for us all to see him.' They all paused.
'Yep definitely ed, he would have exploded by now.' Fai chuckled
'I guess we need to go find him,' dark said 'we'll have to delay our attempts at cooking.'
'What!?' Tamaki and Spirit cried.
'What about my maka's cake!'
'We can't stop  making the cake! This is a cooking show!!' Tamaki cried
'Then get someone else to do it.' Dark sighed
Tamaki seemed to calm down and turned to face Haruhi 'right! Haruhi, make cake!' Haruhi blinked, still wiping the batter of her face, before sighing. 'Sorry sempai, but this show is dangerous. I'm leaving. You coming Winry?' Winry paused before nodding 'you better find ed' she grumbled 'if he's lost my wrench I'm going to murder him.' With that she turned and walked away with Haruhi.
Meanwhile Tamaki was crouched in a corner mumbling 'my daughter left me' and other things to do with being rejected by his darling Haruhi. 'Okay,' zero said, ignoring the sulking Tamaki who was in a dark corner, growing mushrooms 'let's go find the midget.'

In a dark room somewhere, Ed's antenna twitched before golden eyes snapped open 'WHO ARE YOU CALLING SO SMALL THAT AN ANT WOULD SEEM LIKE A GIANT AND- uh...' He then seemed to realise he didn't know where he was and that he was tied to a chair in a strange dark room with his hands separated so he couldn't transmute. He sat there for a second as the realisation sunk in 'Dammit I've been kidnapped... Again! This show is cursed!'

'How are we meant to find him?' Zero grumbled
'We follow the trail of flour!' Fai chirped pointing at the ground
'What flour? Oh, that flour. How'd he manage to get covered in flour?'
'He probably tripped and landed in a bag of it. He's small enough to fit in one.' Zero snickered
'What about Maka's cake!?'
'Shut it, spirit.'
'Haruhi, why did you leave daddy?' The group continued to ignore Tamaki  'I know someone is trying to sabotage our show but why kidnap one of us?' Dark sighed
'I don't know but I say we should just give up and go home.' Zero said
'But maka's cake!'
At this Tamaki seemed to come back to life 'no' he said as a small wind started blowing and rose petals appeared 'we must make this cake and entertain our audience! They have come here expecting a cooking show, and a cooking show they shall get! We can not give up!!' Dark, Fai, Spirit and Zero stared at the king of the host club in shocked silence before,
'Where the hell did those roses come from?!'
'And that wind'
'Impressive speech Tamaki!' Fai seemed to be the only one not weirded out by Tamaki's speech. Tamaki nodded, seemingly pleased with himself 'come troops, we must find Edward Elric!' He then began to march off.
'Does he even know what he's doing.' Spirit said, it wasn't a question as they all knew the answer
'The flour trail goes the other away.' As if in response to the last statement Tamaki turned around and followed the flour trail 'I was just testing you!'
'Of course' the remaining four answered in unison.

It hadn't been long when the group had arrived at the end of the flour trail.
'Its vanished.' Indeed the trail had suddenly stopped as if Ed had flown or dropped through the floor.
'Oh well' zero sighed in fake concern 'we can't find him, what a shame.'
'I say we make maka's cake!'
Tamaki paused, not knowing what to do 'fine. Me, you, you and you' Tamaki pointed to zero, spirit and Fai 'shall go make cake and entertain our lovely audience and dark, you go search for Edward!' Dark nodded and flew off. The remaining four walking back the way they came.

From above them a figure shrouded in darkness grinned. The figure now knew its next victim. The figure chuckled as it disappeared into the darkness.

Back in the kitchen/studio the group were preparing the ingredients for the  third attempt at making a cake. They'd managed to get all the ingredients.
'Ok! Third time lucky!' Tamaki cheered as he mixed the butter and the sugar together in a bowl 'you know something's going to go wrong again.' Zero commented
'What could possibly go wrong!'
At that moment Tamaki stepped forward, meaning to grab the eggs but slipped on a conveniently placed banana skin. He fell to the floor the bowl slipping from his hands and flying into zero's face covering him in cake mixture.  
Fai chuckled 'I guess that could go wrong.'

'Where are you Ed!' Dark called. When that didn't work he grinned and tried a different tactic. 'Here midget, midget, midget! Come on pipsqueak!' Still no response.
'HEY SHORTY!!!!!'
Silence.
Just as Dark was about to move forward something slammed against the back of his head, his vision blurred and he blacked out.
'Wow' the figure grinned 'I honestly didn't expect that to work. Him being a phantom thief and all.'' It grabbed the unconscious Dark in front of it and they both disappeared down another trap door. As the door closed a voice echoed 'Two down. Not long to go.'
